Text size

Albert William Holcomb, 78, was called to his heavenly home on Saturday, July 8, 2017.
The son of Leonard and Marian (Williams) Holcomb, Albert was born on February 6, 1939 in Kelloggsville and remained a lifelong area resident.
On October 27, 1965 Albert and Jola Williams were united in marriage. They created many memories in their journey of life which have become treasures of the heart.
Albert delivered papers for the Ashtabula Star Beacon for thirty one years in the Pierpont and Dorset area. He made many friends on his route. Albert enjoyed his job and every day was different; he enjoyed sharing his stories with his family.
Albert was a man of many talents; he enjoyed building and flying radio controlled airplanes, working on cars, and remodeling homes. He was meticulous in his work and it showed. He was President of the Board of the Pentecostal Holiness Church of Ashtabula and was diligent in his duties. Albert loved his family. He supported his children and encouraged his grandchildren in all of their endeavors. Albert was the rock of his family.
Albert will be remembered for his love of the Lord; his love of friends and family and strength through adversity.
Albert is survived by his loving wife Jola Holcomb of Dorset; children, Albert L. (Tina) Holcomb, Leonard Holcomb, Luke Holcomb, Joseph (Tonya) Holcomb also of Dorset, Lela Holcomb of Ashtabula, and Jeanette Wood of South Carolina; eleven beloved grandchildren; six precious great-grandchildren; siblings Leonard (Dolores) Holcomb of Jefferson, Clifford Holcomb of Sheffield Township, David Holcomb of Ashtabula, Jean Smith of Plymouth Township, Marilyn and Victor Rodriguez also of Sheffield Township; brother-in-law, Theron Huntley of Conneaut; many loving nieces and nephews.
