Amy M. Volanski, age 65, of Footville-Richmond Rd. in Lenox Township, died unexpectedly early Saturday morning at her residence.
She was born Jan. 22, 1952, in Ashtabula, the daughter of Martin and Faye (McQuay) Toukonen, and had lived in this area all of her life, outside of spending one year in Utah. Amy was married to Richard A. Volanski on Nov. 6, 1976 at the Plymouth United Methodist Church. She worked several years at the True Temper Corp. before their closing. Amy was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association.
Survivors include her husband, Richard; three siblings, John Toukonen of Jefferson, Anita (William) McCloud of Stow, and Mark Toukonen in N.C.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.
Graveside services will be held Friday at 12 Noon, at the Lenox Center Cemetery, with the Rev. Fr. John Sheridan, of St. Joseph Calasanctius Church, officiating.
