Betty's Story

Betty A. Carlson, 86, of Conneaut, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 11, 2017, at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home.
Betty was born on November 4, 1930, in Warren, Pa., the daughter of Robert and Marie (White) Songer.
She enjoyed dancing, sewing, baking, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. Her family will remember her as a jack-of-all-trades who could fix just about anything.
Mrs. Carlson is survived by her daughter, Kimberly M. (Donald E. Kuhar) Snyder of Conneaut; son, Sidney A. (Jean Michelle MacDonald) Carlson of Superior, Colo.; grandson, Jeremy (Holly Peters) Snyder; great-grandchildren, Justine and Joshua; and her dog, Cody Otis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Carlson; and her two brothers, Robert and Ronnie Songer.
In keeping with Betty's wishes, private services were observed. She was entombed at Greenlawn Memory Gardens.
