Betty B. Zrolka Garman, 91 of Middlefield, formerly of Florida, passed away Monday morning, October 23, 2017 at Briar Hill Health Care. She was born on Sept 10, 1926 in Chester, Ohio, daughter of the late Archie and Caroline (Pelton) Barnes. She received her degree in Nursing at Hocking Technical College. Betty retired from Geauga Hospital where she was a nurse in the maternity ward for many years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Middlefield. In 1987 she moved to Florida with her husband Alexander Zrolka and they were members and active with Sebastian United Methodist Church in Sebastian, FL When Alexander passed away in 2002, she stayed in FL. She later met and married Robert Garman. She moved back to Middlefield five years ago. Her hobbies included sewing, camping, playing organ, and traveling. She enjoyed going to Italy to see her son and going to California to see her brother Ken.
Betty will be missed by her family and friends; three children, John (Trudy) Kuch of Marietta, David (Cheryl) Kuch of Huntsburg, and Carol (Jeffrey) Fouse of St. Louis, MO; 9 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and her sister Edna Davis of Middlefield. She is preceded in death by her parents; former husband Peter Kuch, second husband Alexander Zrolka, third husband Robert Garman; her brother Kenneth and his wife Harriet Barnes; her brother, Harold and his wife Judy Barnes, and her brother in law Robert Davis.
