Carmen's Story

Carmen William Penna was born on October 5, 1928 to Louis and Mary (Severa) Penna. He graduated from Ashtabula High and served as a corporal during the Korean Conflict. He was hired on the New York Central Railroad and was the general Chairman for the Union. He married Marie Peet in 1953. After retiring from Conrail. He helped care for his grandchildren and enjoyed having coffee at McDonalds with his friends, Carmen enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, bowling, going to the racetrack, and doing crossword every day.
Survivors include his sister Josie Dimare, daughters Judi (Tom) Chabola, Jeanine (Frank Vlassich) Penna, Jolene (Scott) Gill, grandchildren Clay (Julia) Chabola, Cody Chabola, Josie Gill, and great-grandson Miles Chabola
He was preceded in death by his wife Marie, parents, and brothers Louis and Joseph.
Funeral service will be on Monday June 26, at 11:30 A.M. in Guerriero Funeral Home 1550 West 19th St. in Ashtabula with Father David Bridling from Our Lady of Peace Parish officiating, entombment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
