Charles Joseph Stiltner, 62, died unexpectedly on Saturday, November 25, 2017.
The son of James and Lillie (Wright) Stiltner, he was born on January 14, 1955, in Bartley, WV. The youngest of eight children, Charles was ten years old when the family moved to Ohio.
As an employee of Post Lumber for thirty years, he was known as Chuck. Working both for the Lipton Company as a driver and Rainbow Café as a bartender; he was known as Charlie. At each company he worked he was a dedicated employee and enjoyed meeting new people and making friends along the way.
Charles was a person of many interests. He like to hunt and fish; listen to the music of George Thorogood and the 70's ,80's as well as country. He liked the Indians and believed in the Browns, drove muscle cars and played the guitar. He did not mind a good joke or two along the way, just to keep the day interesting. His faithful canine companion Zoey was always at his side as his protector and partner in crime.
Charles will be remembered as a good son, brother, dad, grandpa, great-grandpa, and friend. His strength when times were difficult; overcoming his challenges with his own brand of humor; most importantly his love of family.
Charles is survived by his daughters, Miranda(David) Jahant of Ashville, NC, Lois Loucks and Kerri-Ann Mongenel both of Conneaut; grandchildren, Destiny, Paige, Jacob, Peyton, Maecy and Alex; great grandchild, Kisa; siblings, Mary Pratt of Ashtabula, Martha(Victor) Baker of Jefferson, Nancy(James) Rose of NC, Elva(Doyle) Cobble of TX, Della (Miles) McCoy also of NC, James (Helen) Stiltner and Roy(Earline) Stiltner both of Ashtabula; many loving nieces and nephews.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lillie Stiltner.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 6:00PM at the Pentecostal Church of God,2201 Cook Rd., Ashtabula, Ohio. Kenneth Roberts, Pastor, officiating.
Calling hours will be observed from 4:00PM until time of service at 6:00PM at the Church.

The family would like to thank his special friend and caregiver, Shawna, for her encouragement and care over the last year.
