Dennis H. Durrant, age 68, Mini Ranch Trail, Harpersfield Twp., died Saturday evening at the UH-Geneva Medical Center following an extended illness.
He was born March 25, 1949 in New Lyme Twp., the son of Harold & June (Bradley) Durrant and lived all of his life in this area. Dennis retired from the ride maintenance department at Geauga Lake. He also owned his own carnival for 21 years. He was a member of the Outdoor Amusement Business Assoc. He loved watching the Cleveland Indians and he would only drive Ford vehicles. His grandchildren were his greatest joy. Dennis was all around handyman.
Survivors include his wife, Pamela (Spacht) Durrant, Michael H. (Ruthann) Durrant of Harpersfield Twp. & Andrea R. Durrant of Jerusalem, Israel, a step-daughter, Stacey R. (William) Morrow of Canonsburg, PA, two grandsons, Evan W. & Bryson G. Morrow and a niece, Tracy (James) Snyder of Austinburg Twp.
His parents and a brother, David preceded him in death.
Memorial services will be held Saturday at 11:00 A. M. at St. Pauls Lutheran Church, 89 E. Satin St., Jefferson, with the Rev. Fred Grimm officiating. No visitation will be observed. Burial will be at a later date in Brownville Cemetery.
