Dorothy Mae Sanborn went home to meet her Lord on October 10, 2017. She was surrounded by sons Mark and Shawn and their wives Darla and Shana when she passed.
Dorothy was born March 11, 1935 in Hartsgove, Ohio. She graduated from The Ohio State University and married Leslie Harold Sanborn. She taught home economics at the secondary level and food service in two different vocational schools.
The family lived on a small dairy farm and she loved to cook for family and friends. Dorothy lived life fully and shared her enthusiasm for food, travel, reading and more with others.
She was a loving wife and mother, a loyal and devoted friend and very active in her church in Ohio, Colebrook United Methodist, and later her church in Colorado, Littleton Bible Chapel.
After the death of Leslie, she was a caretaker for his father Harold until the time of his death. She then moved to Colorado to be near her sons.
She was a woman of great faith and always caring for and helping others.
She is preceded in death by her husband Leslie Sanborn and survived by sons Mark and Shawn and grandsons Hunter and Jackson.
