Dorthey Friedt (Canter, Schall), age 81, died Thursday October 19th in Chesapeake VA. where she had been residing with her daughter Joyce for the past few years.
Dorothy was born on November 10th, 1935 to Marie and Homer Schall and was one of five children.
Dorothy grew up and resided in Ashtabula Ohio before moving to Geneva Ohio in the mid 1970's.
Dorothy was an accomplished gardener and her beautiful flower beds were enjoyed by everyone that saw them. She loved her family and her cats and was known for making sure that any stray cats that showed up in her neighborhood were well cared for.
In addition to her husband Denver Canter who passed away in 1966, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Homer, Marion and James (Ed) and sister Margie.
Dorothy is survived by her twin brother Donald; four sons, Doug (Marlene), Denver (Pam), Don (Maureen), Dave (Debbie); Daughters Joyce Arney (Tom) and Tina (Steve) Campbell; along with 17 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
A celebration of Dorothy's life will be held at a later date. Time and location to be announced.
