Douglas Edward Woodard, 60, of Ashtabula, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, December 10, 2017, at the Ashtabula County Medical Center.
He was born September 16, 1957, in Girard, Ohio, the son of the late Darl and Mary (Arbutina) Woodard. Doug graduated from Ashtabula High School Class of 1977 and remained a lifelong area resident. He married Deborah (Pritt) on May 26, 1995.
Doug operated Stanley Steamer along with his father in the Northeast region for 21 years. Then he worked for the former Premix Corporation in North Kingsville for 11 years before he had to retire due to disabilities. Doug enjoyed golfing and gardening but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. His grandchildren were the apple of his eye and referred to him as "Grandpa Dew."
Doug is survived by his wife Debbie; children, Jessica Spencer, Devin Woodard, Julie (Andy) Stillwagon, Corine (John) Casalina, and Henry (Gabby) Landon; sisters, Barb Woodard, and Linda (Preston) Schaar; his Aunt Annie; grandchildren, Jasmine, Riley, Zack, Lauren, Allyson, and Ella; nieces, Taylor and Samantha Schaar; his in-laws, Roy and Janet Pritt, who helped care for him, and Marvin Pritt, Marlin Pritt, and Tim Hughart; as well as several cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
