Earl J. Corron, age 81, of E. Mulberry St., Jefferson, died unexpectedly late Tuesday afternoon at his residence.
He was born Feb. 23, 1936, in Plattsburg, N.Y., the son of Raymond and Rhea (Baker) Corron. Earl had lived in the Jefferson area since 2002, coming from Catskill, N.Y. He was a Veteran of the U. S. Army and served in the New York Army Reserve.
Earl was retired from the contracting business, building homes and later installing commercial glass in high rise buildings. His interests included garden tractors, antique tractors and going to garage sales.
Survivors include two children, Michael A. (Annette) Corron of Anderson, S.C., and Rebecca L. (Bryan, Jr.) Harrington of Farmington, N.Y.; five grandchildren, a brother, Alva (Alice) Corron of Jefferson; and a sister, Rita (Fred) Barnard of N.Y.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Alphedge and Albert Corron; and two sisters, Gloria Cotten and Velma Sibley.
Visitation will be held Saturday, from 1-3 p.m., at the Jefferson Home of FLEMING & BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS AND CREMATORY, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Ashtabula County Antique Engine Club, 168-4026 Rt. 322, Williamsfield, Ohio 44093.
The family has suggested casual dress for Saturday's visitation.
