Edward E. Slusher, 68, of Windsor, passed away November 12, 2017, at his home in Windsor with his family by his side. He was born July 29, 1949, in Warren, Ohio. He was owner and operator of Slusher Trucking where he retired in 2014. Ed loved his family and he was passionate about owning, restoring and racing muscle cars. He enjoyed going to car shows with his family and friends and racing at Thompson Raceway.
He will by sadly missed by his loving wife of 49 years Susan (Brothag) Slusher; his son, Dan (Theresa) Slusher of Windsor; daughters, Jennifer (Tom) Plant and Cindy Slusher both of Colebrook; his 6 grandchildren, Samantha Utz, Melissa Slusher, Aaron & Ashley Allmon, Scott (Cora) Ellsworth, Casey Plant, and Jeff Utz.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Gill and Rosie Slusher; and his mother Flossie Quiggle.
Calling hours will be held Friday, November 17, 2017, from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM at Russell-Sly Family Funeral Home, 15670 W. High St. Middlefield, OH 44062. A Celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2017, at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Brownwood Cemetery, N. Bloomfield.
