Emily J. Warner, 71, was called home on Sunday, September 3, 2017, while surrounded in love by her family.
The daughter of Albert and Emma (Brewster) Kilty, Emily was born on August 14, 1946 in Madison, Ohio and remained a longtime area resident.
Emily was a childcare provider for many children in the Ashtabula area. She was more than a babysitter: she was "Mimi." Emily cared for "her" children with love and devotion following them as they grew into young adults with families of their own.
Emily was an avid collector of wind chimes and clocks, enjoyed crossword and jigsaw puzzles, planting her flowers and sitting outside late in the evening with her friend Sally counting airplanes as they crossed the sky. Going shopping with her family was always an adventure. When time permitted, Emily enjoyed watching crime shows on television. Her granddaughters were the light of her life and time spent with them was always cherished.
Emily is survived by her daughters, Barbara Warner of Willowick, Kristen Warner; granddaughters, Alycia and Ava Hernandez, all of Ashtabula; her brother, William (Irma) Kilty of Madison; their children, Rob, Stephanie, and Carrie; cousins, Fran Rounds and Patricia Hamilton also of Ashtabula; her best friend, Sara "Sally" Rickard of Ashtabula.
Emily was preceded in death by her sister, Roseann Tatum, and her parents.
