HARTVILLE [ndash] Emma G. Remaley, 93, of Hartville, OH, formerly of North Kingsville, OH, passed away at her residence August 23, 2017. She was born September 11, 1923, in North Kingsville, to Charles E. C. and Ruby (Brydle) Hawkins.
Emma married James S. Remaley on January 3, 1947, and was employed as a medical secretary in the office of Dr. Draulis for many years. She was a former member of North Kingsville Presbyterian Church, and enjoyed crafts, especially painting ceramics, sewing, and taking care of her yard. She was also an avid Cleveland Indians fan. She moved to Hartville to be near her family.
Emma is survived by one brother, Amos Hawkins of Florida; two daughters Jane Bisbee of Georgetown, KY, and Judy Greenwood of North Canton, OH; four grandchildren, Troy Bisbee, Brenda Kardohely, Sheri Eichorn, and Cathi Greenwood; four great grandchildren, Larissa, Karri, Hannah, and Ian; and four great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband James on May 21, 2003; three sisters, Lora Harwood, Peg (Minnie) Blayney, and Mary Hawkins; and her son-in-law Tom Greenwood on July 10, 2017.
Viewing will be at 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 2, 2017, and the funeral service will immediately follow at 3:00 PM at the Marcy Funeral Home, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, OH, with Pastor Joyce Shellhammer officiating. Burial will be September 5, in East Lake Cemetery, North Kingsville, OH.
