Frank J. Curtin


Andover- Frank Joseph Curtin, 59, died Monday, June 10, 2019 at UH-Geauga Hospital after a vigilant fight with health issues over the past few years.
He was born on August 21, 1959 in Cleveland, Ohio the son of Raymond F. and Rosemary (Prosser) Curtin. Frank was proud of his service to his country, serving honorably in the United States Navy.
He started the Ashtabula County Door Company and would be recruited to become the owner of Eastdale Overhead Door in October of 2000. As the owner of Eastdale Overhead Door, he hired and trained many individuals that other companies would pass on. Frank was patient, kind hearted and a man of faith. He also served as President of the Ashtabula County Builder's Association and through that connection made friends with many people.
Frank was especially proud of the home he and Tina built together. He also loved spending time with his family and friends and loved hosting get-togethers and parties. Frank really enjoyed the annual pig roast that he held annually on Labor Day. He enjoyed cars, boats and enjoyed riding his Honda motorcycle. Frank also had a passion for photography, taking pictures on his many travels. He also enjoyed developing his own pictures in his darkroom.
Frank is survived by his wife, Tina Moore Curtin, whom he married on September 26, 1992 in Ashtabula; daughter, Wanda Kelly; grandchildren, Emmanuel, Emily, Mac and Zek Sally; brothers, Raymond (Vernita), Steven (Karen) and Patrick (Bobbi Salight) Curtin; dear Aunt, Carol Eubanks; two great-grandchildren; his buddy and dog, Cody Joe; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of life will be held, Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Eastdale Overhead Door Company, 3104 State Rd., Ashtabula, from 12Noon until 5:00PM.
