Gaylord A. Bozard, 97, of Conneaut, passed away Thursday, November 2, 2017, at Lake Pointe Rehabilitation Center. He was born December 7, 1919, in Durand, Michigan, and was the son of Glen Bozard and Bessie (Ulch) Beebe.
Gaylord worked on the Great Lakes for 10 years and was ported in Conneaut, where he met his future wife Dagmar (Antin) Bozard, whom he married March 5, 1944, and later worked for Reactive Metals. After retirement, he enjoyed Ham Radio, and taking ballroom dancing lessons, organ lessons, and roller skating with the love of his life.
Survivors include his daughter Carol Sheppard of Gadsden; his grandchildren Colleen, Jeffrey & Kevin McGraham, and Trenton & Chelsea Sheppard; and great-grandchildren Caden McGraham, Jocelyn & Braden Sheppard.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Dagmar, June 10, 2017; his son Gerald Bozard; and his daughter Diane McGraham.
Funeral service will be noon, Thursday, November 9, 2017 at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., with Rev. Paul Bailie of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memory Gardens.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at noon on Thursday.
