James J. Yuhas, Jr., 60, passed away November 2, 2017, at home from lung cancer, diagnosed on December 22, 2016. Born October 11, 1957 to James J. and Waneta (Burlingame) Yuhas.
He married Cherie (Piekarski) September 24, 1977. James J. Yuhas III is his son that he is very proud of his many accomplishments which include education overseas and learning many skills in business both here and abroad.
Hobbies included motorcycle-riding, camping, fishing, tinkering in his garage on projects, and woodworking.
He graduated with the class of 1976 at Geneva High School, spent two years at Vo-Ed for auto body, and completed a two-year Electronic Engineering Degree at Lakeland Community College in 1999.
He volunteered with Austinburg Fire Department for over 20 years before going onto their retiree list, was employed with A. Schulman, formerly Hadlock Plastics as an electrical and program tech from 2/18/2008-present, General Aluminum, Parker Hannifin, Worthington Precision Metals and RMI Metals.
James is survived by: spouse, Cherie of Austinburg; son, James III of Eastlake; father, James; brother, Patrick (Patricia) Yuhas of Austinburg, and their children Jamie (Geremy) Hines of Jefferson, Lauren Carey of NC, Lindsey (Adam) Humble of Madison.
He was preceded in death by: mother, Waneta; siblings, David Alan and Cristy Lou.
His body was donated to Case Western Reserve to help with future education.
