Janice's Story

Janice Kay Eldred, age 59, of Kingsville passed away unexpectedly at University Hospital Seidman Cancer Center on Thursday, October 12, 2017.
Janice was born in Ashtabula on July 8, 1958--the daughter of Richard and Kathleen (Field) Rinto. She was a 1976 graduate of Edgewood Senior High School. After high school, Janice began working at the Ashtabula County Joint Vocational School. June 2018 would have closed out her 40th year which would have been her last before a wonderful retirement. The ACJVS was her second home and her co-workers were her family.
Janice loved spending time with her family and friends. She was an amazing, loving, beautiful woman who would do anything for anybody. She loved traveling to Atlanta, Georgia, to visit her daughter and son-in-law. One of her favorite vacationing spots was the Blue Ridge Mountains. She could relax with her family in a beautiful cabin, which she dreamed of owning one day. While at home, she loved sitting out on her sun porch with her coffee, enjoying the peaceful farmland. On a cool summer night, sitting around a fire watching the flames, was one of her favorite pastimes. She would be out there for hours as the night grew late. Janice also loved watching HGTV where she would get inspiration to start remodeling projects which usually led to her husband and son jumping in and helping with her vision
Janice is survived by her husband Richard Eldred Jr., whom she married August 31, 1985, daughter Cassandra (Derek) Woodburn, son Justin Eldred, loving brother Mike (Cindy) Rinto, brother in-laws Lonnie Eldred, Rod (Rachel) Eldred, Myron (Ros) Eldred, sister-in-laws Joyce (Terry) Newhart, Julie (Gary) Funk, Joanne (Steve) Stover, along with many nieces and nephews.
Janice was preceded in death by parents Richard and Kathleen, in-laws Richard and Gladys Eldred.
We thank her for all her love and will cherish the memories she gave us. Janice will be missed by many.
