Jean Warren Herbst, age 95 years, died June 8, 2017, at Hospice of the Western Reserve in Euclid, OH, after a brief illness. Born in Orwell, Ohio, to Elmer and Dora Aickin Warren, Jean graduated in 1946 from The Ohio State University with the first class of Dental Hygiene. Jean was known for her beautiful tole painting and her competitive streak in all card games. With former husband Joseph Maurice, she operated a farm vacation home at Dogwood Valley Farm in Orwell for several years. Proceeded in death by sisters Florence Williamson, Audrey Emhoff, Edna Cragon and Gertrude Gadley, and husband Philip Herbst.
Survived by daughters Sally Maurice and Cindy Oser. Grandmother of Kristen Kobella, Michael (Stephanie) Kobella, Matthew (Priscilla) Tackett, and Lindsay (Andrew) Guzowski. Great-grandmother of Cecelia and Sylvia Kobella and Evan and Elijah Tackett.
The family wishes to thank staff of the Hospice of the Western Reserve (David Simpson Hospice House) and staff and friends at McGregor Assisted Living for their care and kindness.

A memorial service will be held graveside at the Orwell North Cemetery on Sunday, June 25 at 1:30p, followed by a reception at the church.
