Jeffrey's Story

Jeffrey James Stasny, 57, died at home with his loving wife Trish holding his hand on Friday, October 20, 2017.
The son of Charlene Noce, Jeff was born on October 10, 1960, in Ashtabula and had remained a lifelong area resident. Jeff graduated from Ashtabula Vo-Ed.
A devoted and dedicated employee, Jeff worked thirty nine years for Trans Con Manufacturing as a welder/fabricator. A member of the United Conveyor Workers Union; Jeff served as President for twenty-five years. He was elected president for his honesty, and concern for his fellow workers and his ability to resolve issues that satisfied both sides.
Jeff and Patricia "Trish" Whitlock were married on July 26, 1997; for twenty years they shared joys and sorrows, celebrated triumphs and overcame hardships. Their marriage was one of love and devotion and deep affection for each other. The many memories made along the way are now treasures of the heart.
Jeff was a man of many talents and interests. He not only rode motorcycles, but built his Shovelhead bike. He played guitar in the band "Gutterboy" for six years with his friends. He and his wife, Trish held "StasFests" where all of their friends and family would come to celebrate their friendship and summer. Jeff enjoyed smoked meats and bar-b-que; he loved those times and got great enjoyment from being in the company of his friends and family. He loved his Cleveland Browns and enjoyed R.C. cars; his favorite car of all was his 69 SS Z28 Camaro.
Jeff and his loving wife Trish are cancer survivors; they supported each other through their journey. The love and devotion that have for each other is amazing. The strength at which they battled this disease is unmatched.
Jeff will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband; loving uncle; wonderful son-in-law and devoted friend. His strength through adversity and his determination to survive; will be hard to match.
Jeff is survived by his loving wife, Trish Stasny of Ashtabula; his "Unk", Albert (Carol) Noce of Ashtabula; his many devoted and loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; his friends who have become family; and his siblings
Jeff was preceded in death by his mother, Charlene Loudenback and his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Noce; and mother-in-law, Betty Whitlock.
Funeral Services will be held at 12 Noon on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at the Zaback-Williams-Ducro Funeral home, 500 West Prospect Road, Ashtabula, Ohio. Burial will be in Saybrook Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00PM on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at the Zaback-Williams-Ducro Funeral Home.
