John Dale Cooper- Monroe
CLEVELAND John Dale Cooper-Monroe, three months old; beloved son, brother, and grandson was given the wings of an angel on Sunday, December 31, 2017.
John was born on September 18, 2017 in Chardon and is the son of Jasmine Cooper and Greer Monroe.
He was diagnosed with SMA Type 1 (Spinal Muscular Atrophy) shortly after his birth. SMA is a muscular disease passed on genetically to children by their parents.
A happy little boy, John woke up smiling and ready to greet the day. He enjoyed being loved and cuddled, hugging his teddy bear and being the center of attention. He would smile at the sound of his mommys voice and laugh when daddy came into the room. John was a special little boy; he taught people to be accepting of his limitations and love without regret.
Although his time on earth was brief; John left indelible footprints on the hearts of all of those whose lives he touched.
John is survived by his parents, Jasmine Cooper and Greer Monroe of Jefferson; his sister, Mya Monroe; grandparents, Marsha Cooper, Christopher Cooper, and Kacky Meade; great-grand parents, Katherine Parker, Christopher Cooper and Diane Clark-Durso; many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
John was preceded in death by his grandparents, John Meade, Dale Parker and Laura Beaver.
Private memorial services will be observed.
Oh I believe there are, angels among us; Sent down to us, from somewhere up above
They come to you and me, in our darkest hours; To show us how to live, to teach us how to give; To guide us with the light of love
