John,89 passed away peacefully 5-29-17 at his loving daughter Nancy (Mike) Jacobs home where she was his wonderful caretaker for over two years.
Born February 18,1928 in Dan,WV to Gus and Viola (Bailey) Waldron. He was a coalminer in West Virginia and retired from the Ashtabula County Highway Dept after 26 years.
John was a loving and kind husband, father and grandpa. He loved bluegrass music, hunting, baseball ,West Virginia, and most of all spending time with his family.
John was a member of the Church of Christ in Ashtabula.
He is survived by his Children, Rita (Joseph) Fetters, Christine (Homer) Downie,, John Dean (Carolyn) Waldron, Richard (Louann) Waldron, David (Rochelle Blee) Waldron, Nancy (Mike) Jacobs, Gene (Elizabeth) Waldron, Grandchildren Jeremiah(Lisa) Downie,Jason (Heather) Waldron, Matthew (Tanya) Waldron, Jared (Amanda) Jacobs, Justin (Kelly Jacobs), Megan Jacobs,Joseph and Ashley Waldron,14 great grandchildren,brothers Ray(Freda) and Clifford (Nancy) Waldron.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Ruby Marie Smith whom he married May 5, 1951, his parents, brothers James, Cecil and Leonard.Waldron.
A Memorial service will be 5 pm Friday,July 7 at the Church of Christ 5901 West Ave.Ashtabula. Calling hour will be 4 pm until time of service. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park in Princeton WV.
