Joseph A. Schreiber, 87, of Conneaut, passed away Friday, November 3, 2017 at Hamot Medical Center in Erie, PA. He was born September 13, 1930 in Cleveland, and was the son of Arthur and Alma (Friedel) Schreiber.
Joseph worked for Orrenmaa Heating and Marcys Heating and Roofing for many years. He enjoyed farming, craftsmanship, going to auction sales, flea markets, and had many talents. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and his grandchildren, and was famous for his quiet one liners.
Survivors include his daughter Nancy (Doug) Jones of Conneaut; his son Joseph (Gerry) Schreiber of Kingsville; daughter-in-law Diane Schreiber of Conneaut; his sisters Mary Ann (Eddie) Bartlett of Painesville, and Margaret (Larry) Wencil of South Carolina; and his brothers Robert (Susan) Schreiber, and William Schreiber, both of Conneaut. He is also survived by his grandchildren Melodie, Shawn, Scott, Steve, Sarah, Stephanie, Eric, Kevin, and Katie; and several great and great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife M. Joanne; his sons Michael and Charles; his brothers Larry, Howard, and Art; and his sister Virginia.
Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., with Pastor Jan Walsh of New Leaf United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memory Gardens.
Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, and also on Wednesday from 10:00 AM, until the time of the service.
