Kenneth J. Dezman, Sr., 80 of Concord Twp., passed away November 14, 2017 at the Cleveland Clinic with his family by his side. He was born June 12, 1937 in Conneaut, Ohio to the late Joseph and Kathrine (Brady) Dezman.
Mr. Dezman retired in 1995 from CEI as a Plant Electrical Supervisor at the Perry Nuclear Power Plant. He was active in the Masonic Lodge, Al Koran Shrine and was Past President of Eagle Shrine Club. He was involved in transportation of the children to Shrine Hospitals and Eagle Shrine Choppers parade unit. He was also a member of Painesville Elks Lodge # 549 and co-founder of Koinonia of Lake County. He coached for Mentor Bantam Football League and enjoyed golfing with his buddies. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Mr. Dezman is survived by his wife Margaret Peg (Wheeler) Dezman; son Brian (Carolyn) of Plainfield, IL; grandson Kenneth Dezman III of Painesville; and daughter-in-law, Theresa Dezman
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son Kenneth J., Jr.; brother Jim Dezman and sister Roberta Chesier.
The family will receive friends Monday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home, 368 Mentor Avenue (opposite Lake Erie College), Painesville.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at First Church, Congregational, 22 Liberty St., Painesville, Ohio 44077, with Rev. Tom Cofer officiating.
Burial will take place in Concord Cemetery with military honors.
