Lucille Delores (Penna) DiDonato, 95, of Walnut, California, died peacefully in her home on July 6, 2017. Born February 15, 1922, in Ashtabula, Ohio, she was the daughter of Ralph and Laura Penna and a longtime resident of Ashtabula.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Anthony, who passed away in 2005, and her sisters, Mary Licate; Josephine Marinchak; and Louise Silva.
Lucille is survived by her daughter, Annette DiDonato; son, Richard DiDonato; grandchildren, Bryan (Holly) Sirkel and great-grandchildren Brett, Braden and Brynn; Autumn Sirkel (Chris) Dean and great-grandchildren Giavanna; Jacob; Maddie; Addyson; and Tony, all of California; and sister, Lorene Detore, of Ashtabula.
Lucille and Tony were married on February 10, 1945 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Ashtabula and resided there until she and her family moved to southern California in 1978. Lucille will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Viewing will be held on Friday, July 14 at 10 a.m. at Queen of Heaven Mortuary in Roland Heights, Calif. A celebration of life mass will be held at noon in the mortuary chapel, with burial to follow.
