Marilee C. Zappitelli, 70, of Conneaut, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at the Cleveland Clinic. She was born September 10, 1947, in Conneaut, and was the daughter of Stanley and Ellen (Grosso) Mars.
Marilee was a 1965 graduate of Conneaut High School and had worked as a waitress at Pape's Restaurant for 20 years, managed Mobile Grove Home Park, and sold Avon for 35 years. Most recently, she retired as a cashier from Orlando Brother's Golden Dawn.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church of Corpus Christi Parish, and the Moose Lodge. She enjoyed reading, and Wednesday night dinners with her lady friends. Her all-time favorite thing to do was to attend all of her grandchildren's sporting events.
Survivors include her two sons, Joseph (Staci) Zappitelli of North Kingsville, and Michael Zappitelli of Conneaut; her grandsons Joseph and Jacob Zappitelli; and her granddaughters Angie, Lexi, and Maddie, all of North Kingsville; and her two dogs Cassie and Annie.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, December 16, 2017 at St. Mary Church, 480 State St., with Rev. Philip Miller officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Friends may call from 9:30 AM until 12:30 PM, Saturday, at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Marilee to the Animal Protective League. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and also at the church.
