Mary A. (Prunty) Dutton, age 94, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2017, at the Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake, Ohio, surrounded by her family.
Mary A. Dutton is survived by her siblings, Ronald Prunty, Mentor (Junior) Prunty, and Marie Harasyn.
She was married to Byron C. Dutton (1920-1993) for nearly 50 years and they have five children, Elizabeth Dutton Kilbane, Holly Dutton Coleman, Byron C. Dutton II, F. Mitchell Dutton, and Julie A. Dutton; seven grandchildren, Todd A. Dutton, Rachel J. Dutton, Sarah E. Coleman, Rebecca M. Stokes, Timothy J. Kilbane, Meredith L. Dutton, and Claire R. Dutton; and four great-grandchildren, Alex C. Dutton, Justin J. Gonzalez, Neil S. Stokes and Abigail R. Stokes.
Mary's passions were training future Girl Scout leaders, active in the Methodist Church, gardening and spending time with family.
She was born March 13, 1923, in Gilmore County, West Virginia, and lived in Auburn, Ohio; Geneva, Ohio; Camden, South Carolina; and finally Austinburg, Ohio.
As per her request, no services will be held and a private family Celebration of Life will be held at a future date. She will be interred with her husband in Shadyside Cemetery in Auburn.
