Mary Jane's Story
Mary Jane Raisian, age 59 of Ashtabula, died Sunday, November 12, 2017, at UH Geauga Medical Center.
Mary Jane was born on February 21, 1958, the daughter of Raymond and Kathryn (Hews) Raisian. A 1976 graduate of Conneaut High School, Mary Jane went on to graduate from Columbus Technical Institute where she received her LPN degree. She worked for many years at the Ashtabula Country Club Retirement Center, Heartland of Mentor and was later forced to retire due to a disability.
She was a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Ashtabula and cherished all her friends there. She enjoyed watching movies, her computer and spending time with her family and friends.
Mary Jane had an especially giving heart and was a true lover of all animals, especially her dogs that meant the world to her.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Mary Jane is survived by her brother Joseph (Dana) Raisian; niece Toni (Frank) Armeni; nephew Jeff Raisian (Shannon Ruffo); all of Conneaut; a great-niece coming in April 2018; cousins; several of her closest friends; and her beloved dog, Pepper.
Calling hours will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 18, 2017, at the Raisian Family Funeral Home, 581 Harbor St., Conneaut.
Mass of the Christian Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 18th at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 744 Mill St., Conneaut, with Father Philip Miller of Corpus Christi Parish officiating.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Conneaut.
