Maynard was a member of the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church in Erie, PA. Maynard was known for his beautiful tenors voice and those who knew and loved him looked forward to the yearly phone call they would receive having Maynard sing them "Happy Birthday."

He was our mailman on Adams ave. when I was growing up. He was one of the nicest gentlemen ever. Mr Stofan always took the time to talk to all of us and will be remembered.

I am deeply saddened by the loss of Maynard. I knew Maynard well as he and Elaine were my godparents. I found him to always be warm and friendly. He was a kind man to me always. I will miss him a great deal. My condolences to his three children, Paul, Perry and Patricia.

Maynard Stofan was someone you meet and you can instantly see what a sincere, caring individual he is. This attribute is also reflected in his son, Perry, who became by far, my closest and most trusted friend.
