Nancy Jane Martin, 73, passed away on September 2, 2017 surrounded by family at her home after a courageous 3 year battle with cancer.
Nancy was born in East Cleveland, OH, on October 30, 1943. She was the daughter of the late George H Burnett and Jennie A Burnett and loving sister to George H Burnett Jr. and the late Thomas A. Burnett. She is survived by the love of her life and husband of 54 years, James W. Martin and her four children; Sandra K. Johnston (Phillip), Susan J. Ondrejka (Randall), Michael J. Martin (Catherine) and Steven C. Martin (Katherine), her 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Nancy worked at the Painesville Dental Group for 30 years as a receptionist and dental assistant. She was an incredible person who brought joy to each person she encountered and loved spending time with her family and numerous friends. She spent her time baking, reading and making heartfelt quilts with the Ashtabula Quilt Guild.
She lit up the room with her lively spirit and warmed our hearts with her kind words. She will be missed by many but will live on in our hearts forever.
At Nancy's request, a Celebration of Life will take place in October. Details to be released at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her honor to:
