Norita L. Pahel, 79 of Ashtabula died Friday (Nov. 17th) at the Austinburg Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Austinburg. She was born January 10, 1938 in Ashtabula the daughter of Herbert and Agnes (Tetter) Shaw ad has been a lifetime area resident.
She was a 1957 graduate of Ashtabula High School and had worked at Carlisles Department Store for over twenty years and as a Hostess at Bob Evans Restaurant for over fifteen years.
She was a member of East Side Presbyterian Church and the Elks Auxiliary. She enjoyed working and getting her hair done and loved spending time with her family.
Surviving her are her three children, Jeffrey (DeAnna) Pahel of Roaming Shores, OH, J. Scott (Sheryl Johnson) Pahel of Tega Cay, SC and Jodi (Jeffery) Manual of West Palm Beach, FL; three grandchildren, Amanda (James) Fultz, Tyler Pahel and Jessica Manual; two great grandchildren, Gavin Lowery and Noah Fultz and a sister, Karen (Tom) Richards of Placentia, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents and by two grandsons, Robbie Manual and Jeremy Scott Pahel II.
A memorial service will be Monday (Nov. 20th) at 11:00 AM at the Ashtabula Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors, 526 W. Prospect Rd. Ashtabula, Ohio with Pastor Shirley Farantz officiating.
Calling hour will be Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 1166 Lake Ave. Ashtabula, Ohio 44004. Condolences, light a candle and obituary at
