Norman "Skippy"'s Story
Norman T. "Skippy" Phillips Jr., 60, passed away Tuesday May 30, 2017 at St. Mary's Healthcare in Amsterdam, NY.
Born on September 7, 1956, he is the son of Norman T. Phillips Sr., of Wayne Township, Williamsfield, Ohio, and the late Louise Slater Phillips who passed away in 2015.
Skippy received his education and graduated from Grand Valley High School in Orwell, Ohio.
Skippy was last employed as a tow motor operator at Adirondack Knitting Mills in Amsterdam.
Skippy enjoyed hunting and played in several Amsterdam pool leagues.
He is survived by his father, one son, Edward Lipps of Orwell, Ohio, one granddaughter, McKayla Lipps of Vernon Township, Ohio, one brother Thomas Phillips of Douglasville, Georgia, one sister, Connie Petrus of Dallas, Georgia and 4 nephews.
Skippy was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Phillips, Brothers Franklin H. Phillips and Calvin H. Phillips and one sister, Janet Louise Phillips.
