PIERPONT Paul William Hudson, 71, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at his home.
The son of Howard and Clara (Thompson) Hudson, Paul was born on September 26, 1946 in Meadville, PA. A graduate of Edgewood High School, Paul joined the United States Air Force after graduation serving four years during the Vietnam War.
Paul and Christine Humphrey were united in marriage on October 4, 1969 and began their marriage in the home in which Paul grew up as a child.
Paul retired from the Ohio Department of Transportation as a construction inspector after twenty seven years. He also worked at Rockwell Brake for eighteen years until their closing.
After his retirement he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends. He also enjoyed collecting old milk bottles from Ashtabula county farms.
Paul is survived by his wife Christine; his sons, Timothy (Heather) Hudson of Conneaut and Matthew Hudson of Pierpont; grandchildren, Elizabeth Hudson, Emmalyn Reydak and Spencer Hudson; brother, Duane Hudson of Ashtabula; loving nieces and nephews.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Clara (Hudson) Olin; sisters, Vera Andrews and Jean Ann Banning; sister-in-law, Roxanne Hudson and a step-father Arnold Olin.
Private Graveside Services with Military Honors will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Pierpont, Ohio.
Williams-Ducro Funeral home, 1071 State Route #7 North, Pierpont, Ohio is handling arrangements.
