Paul "Pete"'s Story
GENEVA - Pete Cole, 49, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2017 at home with family by his side. A true inspiration to all who knew him, he fought a silent battle with cancer for 17 years. He was known by many as the guy who would lend a hand to anyone, no matter how he might be feeling himself. He was often found enjoying his morning coffee at Dunkin or lending a hand at The Winery at Spring Hill. He loved his pets, four-wheeling, fishing, camping, picnics, and spending time with those he loved. His quick wit, sense of humor, and zest for life will long be remembered.
He was born in Pittsburgh, PA on May 6, 1968. He graduated from Geneva HS in 1987 and went on to proudly serve his country in the US Army from 1988-1992.
He is survived by his loving family; his wife Cindy Swank-Cole; his sister Sharon McBean, his nephew Sean McBean; nieces: Vicki McBean, Dana (Ed) Donnelly and Beth (Jeff) Thompson; his great-nieces and nephews: Scot and Kea Williams, Morgen, Brighid, Liam & Tadhg Donnelly; Brother-in-law, Tom Swank; Sister-in-laws: Roberta Thompson and Kathy (Dan) Corey; and many dear aunts, uncles, cousins & friends.
