Ralph Lynn Fassett Ralph Lynn Fassett, 83, of Saybrook Township, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 2, at University Hospitals Geneva Medical Center. He was born April 8, 1935, in Ashtabula, the son of Emer James and Grace (Edson) Fassett.
He was married to the love of his life, Shirley A. Fassett, for 64 years.
Ralph loved to fish, watch football and car racing on TV and read books.
He owned a car body shop for a while, had a corvette and a car lot. He also worked selling baked goods from a truck for Star Bakery in Madison, Ohio. He was a cub scout Master for a pack in Saybrook Township and sold keys and key machines for Curtis Keys in years past.
He retired as an electrician from Occidental Chemical Corp on State Rd in Ashtabula, Ohio.
Surviving him is his wife Shirley whom he married October 31, 1954; three children, Jeanette (Preston) Hess of Poland, Ohio, James R. (Cathy) Fassett of Rome, Ohio and Jerry L. (Della) Fassett of Radcliff, Kentucky; eight grandchildren, Michael, Tiffany, Eric, Meghan, Michelle, Morgan, Lauren and Allison; and 11 great grandchildren.
Private graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Saybrook Township Volunteer Fire Department, 5714 North Ridge Rd. West, Ashtabula, Ohio 44004.

When I would call them, uncle Ralph would always answer the phone. He always seemed so happy to hear from me. I am so happy I attended the great bonfire a couple weeks ago and was able to spend time with him and all of my family. Uncle Ralph will be missed.

Ralph was my best friend since first grade in Saybrook ,77yrs of fond memories. I could write a book about some of our experiences we have had over the years .
May you rest in peace my friend, we will miss you.
