Robert E. Anderson
GENEVA Robert Bob E. Anderson, 74, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Carrington Park with his wife by his side.
He was born on May 4, 1943 in Jefferson, Ohio, the son of Albert and Hazel (Smith) Anderson. He remained a resident of the area, except for his time spent in Pennsylvania, where he was stationed during his time in the United States Army.
Bob worked for the cable company, and after 43 years and many name changes he finally retired from Adelphia. He was also known for coaching tee ball and softball for Geneva Little League.
He was an avid Steelers fan, and enjoyed watching them play, as well as attending car shows and different auctions, and wood working.
Bob and his wife Joan (Hedrick), whom he married on May 26, 2000 spent many wonderful nights together listening to concerts in Madison Village and at Geneva-on-the-Lake.
He leaves behind his wife Joan Anderson; sons, Jeff Sr. (Leasha) Anderson and Barry (Kelly) Anderson; daughter, Barbara Anderson; step-sons, John (Sandra) Otto, Timothy (Melanie) Otto, and Terry (Jennifer) Otto; special friend, Wendy (Chris) Parnther; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a niece and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Tim and Mark Anderson; and his grandson, Barry Jr.
A service will be held at 4 PM on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Ducro Funeral Home, 4524 Elm Avenue, Ashtabula with Rev. Michael Legg, Pastor officiating. Calling hours will be held from 2 PM, until the time of service at 4 PM.
