Robert L. Colicchio, age 94, peacefully passed on August 17, 2017 in Ashtabula. He was born November 14, 1922 to Donato and Julia (Ferbidino) Colicchio. Robert was a lifelong resident of Ashtabula.
He was a veteran of WWII serving at the Battle of the Bulge as an Infantryman. He retired from Rockwell International Brake Division. Robert was an avid bowler and golfer and enjoyed gardening, soduku, and crossword puzzles. Robert also always enjoyed a good debate with his family.
He was preceded in death by his first wife of 25 years, Philomena (Fish) Colicchio; his second wife of 25 years, Jean (Wesolik-Grippe) Colicchio; his parents; sisters, Edith and Helen; brothers, Benny, Ted, and Tom; and grandson, Chad Colicchio.
Robert is survived by his daughters, Laureen (Ron) Massucci; Robin (Bruce) Stought, Renee (David) Peet, and Susan Murphy (Michael Khoury); grandchildren, Carrie (Brian) Kandes, David Massucci, Shelley (Joshua) Cochran, Ronald (Abby) Massucci, Michael (Shannon) Peet, Shawn (Ryan) Shanks, Kimber (Thomas) Lovito, and Christina Elliot; ten great grandchildren and two on the way; and many nieces and nephews.
At Robert's request, no visitation or services will be observed. The family would like to thank Jane and the staff at Silver Sands, especially his caregivers; Hospice of the Western Reserve for their thoughtful care; and David Potti for his generosity.
