Rosalma Hobe, age 90, W. Satin St., Jefferson, died peacefully Friday afternoon at her residence with family by her side.
She was born June 1, 1927 in Lloydella, PA, the daughter of Leopold & Elizabeth (Siebert) Maticic and has been a resident of the Austinburg Twp. and Jefferson area since 1987, coming from Cleveland. She was married to John Hobe on August 30, 1947 in Cleveland.
Mrs. Hobe was a member of St. Joseph Calasanctius Church in Jefferson. Mrs. Hobe stayed very active with church, Bible study, Garden Club and the bee association.
Survivors include six children, John J. Hobe of Savannah, GA, Thomas M. Hobe of Monticello, KY, Kenneth W. Hobe of Jefferson, Mary Ann Gymer of Florida, Rosalma R. Naxer of Brooklyn & Catherine Hobe of Dorset Twp., 16 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and a sister, Delores Meholin of Euclid.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John in 1987, two grandchildren, a brother, Evon Maticic and two sisters, Marscella Benko & Bernadine Hobe.
The funeral mass will be held Wednesday at 11:00 A. M. at St. Joseph Calasanctius Church, 32 E. Jefferson St., Jefferson, with the Rev. Fr. John Ettinger officiating. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery.
