Todd William Bidlack passed away at home after a brief illness on August 24. He resided in Gahanna, Ohio. Todd was born in Geneva, Ohio on November 16, 1957 to Dr. Virgil and Jan Bidlack. He graduated from Geneva High School in 1976. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Bowling Green State University in 1980 in microbiology. Later he earned a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Xavier University. He was a microbiologist with the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency for 30 years. He married Mary Hritz in 1979 and they had two children, Daniel and Amy.
Todd was active in Boy Scout Troop 50 in Geneva and earned the rank of Eagle Scout. He attended the First United Methodist Church in Geneva and was active in the Methodist Youth Fellowship group. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Todd was a dog lover and adored his Jack Russel terriers Foxie and Ziva. He was an excellent cook and prepared holiday meals for the family. He was often called upon to cater private events. He was also a great handy man and helped his family with many home projects and auto repairs.
Survivors include his son Dan Bidlack, Reynoldsburg Ohio, his daughter Amy Coffin and her husband Chris, also of Reynoldsburg, granddaughter Maria Bidlack and grandson Alfred Coffin, his former wife Mary Hritz Bidlack and his sister Nancy Bires and her husband Fran, Sandy Lake, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
The family requests that donations be made to the Russell Rescue Inc. (russellrescue.com) due to his love for his dogs.
