William H. "Bill" Mack Sr., age 85, of Beaver Lake Road, Muncy Valley, passed away Friday, June 2, 2017, at his home.
Born Feb. 3, 1932, in Ashtabula, Ohio, he was the son of the late Herbert and Irma (Zoeller) Mack. On June 30, 1973, he married the former Renate Schlusslhuber and they have celebrated 44 years of marriage.
Bill retired from American Home Foods, Milton in 1997.
He was a life-member of the National Rifle Association, attended the Eastern Lycoming Branch YMCA Senior Center and earlier in life had been a Boy Scout Leader for Troup 453 in Maryland.
He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather to his family and lived a happy and contented life.
Surviving besides his wife are four sons: William Mack Jr. of Ashtabula, Ohio, Patrick J. Patrick and wife Maria of Williamsport, Richard C. Mack and wife Christina L. of Fredricksburg, Va., and Shannon N. Mack and wife Heather of Davidsonville, Md.; three daughters: Gina R. Mote and husband Michael of Madison, Ohio, Patricia V. Gardner and husband Ron of Picture Rocks and Lorrie L. Woodard of Ashtabula, Ohio; 28 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; six brothers: Richard Mack of Arizona, Russell Mack of Maryland, Paul Mack of Florida, Allen Mack of NB; and James Lynch and David Mack, both in Ohio; and four sisters: Arloa Stacy of Georgia, Wanda York of Montana and Leah Ascerno and Florence George, both in Florida.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Tamara Perry; a son, Stephen Mack; a sister, Billie Elmore; a brother, Herbert "Buddy" Mack and a step-father, James Lynch.
A Memorial Service honoring his life is being planned by his family and will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in his memory to Alzheimer's Association.
