Services for William R. Nuzum, 82, of Mentor, will be at 11 AM on Friday, November 10, 2017, at Willoughby United Methodist Church, 15 Public Square, Willoughby. The Rev. Donald R. Perks will officiate at the service.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM on Thursday, (today), November 10, 2017, at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby. Masonic services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, conducted by Willoughby Lodge 302 F. & A.M.
Mr. Nuzum passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2017, at Lake West Medical Center in Willoughby.
Born April 10, 1935, in Salt Well, WV, he has lived in Lake County since 1952.
He was a member of Willoughby United Methodist Church, The Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2300 in Willoughby, Willoughby Lodge 302 F. &. A.M. and was a former member of Al Koran Shrine, Valley of Cleveland.
Mr. Nuzum was employed in research and development at the former TRW Corporation, retiring after 43 years of service.
Survivors are his wife of 62 years, Jeanette "Jay" (Young) Nuzum; children, Deborah Lynn (Daniel) Kowalski, Denise Rae (Gary) Markel and Douglas William Nuzum; grandchildren, David, Dana and Jeffrey Kowalski; Carrie Koenig, Krista Shaw, Melissa and Emily Nuzum and great-grandchildren, Sophia, Avani and Isabelle Kowalski and Irelynn, Lincoln and Ellis Koenig.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lula Nuzum.
Final resting place will be in Mentor Cemetery following the service on Friday.
