Almira's Story

Almira A. Robson, 81, of Conneaut, went home to be with the Lord Thursday evening, May 4, 2017, at the David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland. She was born Sept. 4, 1935 in Lake City, Pa., and was the daughter of Minor and Ida (Adams) English Fry.
Almira attended Isabelle's Beauty School and owned and operated her own hair salon "Mira's Magic Mirror." She was a member of the Conneaut Church of God, the Lake Erie Boat Club, and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening, crafts, crocheting, and knitting. She and Don enjoyed fishing together and having perch fish fries with their family. Almira will always be remembered for her great sense of humor.
Survivors include her daughters, Sandra (Robert) Alderman of Lynchburg, Va., and Rebecca Vendetti of Conneaut; her sons, Carl (Angela) Vendetti of Rustburg, Va., Pastor Carson (Jessica) Robson of Conneaut, and Rick (Deb) Robson of Conneaut; 12 grandchildren, Broc Gendron, Venessa (Fiancée Nelson Case) Gendron, Aly Seegert, Edward Nemitz, Britteny Nemitz, Whitney Sommer, Carl Vendetti, Dominic Vendetti, Kelley Robson, Charity (Keith) Simko, Samantha (Eric) Rogers, and Brooke Robson; 12 great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Betty Adams of Erie, Pa., and Judy (Dave) Miller of Buford, S.C.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Donald in 2016; her sisters, Margaret Guy, Dorothy English, and Mary Bursecoff; and her brothers, Ralph and Ted English.
Memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at the Conneaut Church of God, 5327 Center Rd., Conneaut, with Tim Kraus officiating.
Friends may call from 1 p.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday.
Contributions may be made to the Imagine Fund of Church of God. Envelopes will be available at the church and at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, Ohio, which has been entrusted with arrangements.
