Arnold's Story

Arnold "Arnie" Young, age 90, of Ashtabula, Ohio, passed away at his residence on April 27, 2017.
He was born June 11, 1926, a son of the late Coral and Ocie (Knapp) Braden.
Arnie was a General Foreman and worked for Rockwell Plastic and Glastic Co. He was a WWII Army Veteran.
He enjoyed fishing, playing Bingo. Most of all, he enjoyed his family that came first and watching his them play sports.
He is survived by children, Cheryl Young of Ashtabula, Ohio, Jeffrey (Lisa) Young of Louisiana, Robert (Debby) Young of Jefferson, Ohio, Michele (Mike) Sullivan of Conneaut, Ohio; son-in-law, Larry Armstrong of Arizona; grandchildren, Joshua Armstrong, Megan (Greg) Anzaldua, Jarrett (Marie) Larson, Justin (Jen) Larson, Robert (Aleisha) Young II; great-grandchildren, Olivia Anzaldua, Chase, Chad, and Luke Larson; sister, Shirley (Bob) Phillips; sisters-in-law, June and Ellen Braden; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Arnie was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Armstrong; great-granddaughter, Mia Larson; brothers, Leo (Bernice), Robert, and Glenn Braden.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects on Monday, May 1, 2017, at McCAULEY FUNERAL HOME from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 12 Noon. Military honors provided by Erie/Crawford Burial Detail to follow.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Tuesday, May 2, 2017, from 4-6 p.m. at Light House Harvest Foundation, 2710 State Road, Ashtabula, Ohio 44004.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Erie/Crawford Burial Detail, American Legion, 9225 Rte. 6, Union City, Pa.16438.
