Beverly's Story

Beverly Kay (Williams) Eichorn, 78, passed away at The Forest Hills Alzheimer's Care Center, Columbus, OH on Friday, July 7, 2017. She was born on August 19, 1938 in the Ashtabula Harbor where she was a life long resident and was the daughter of Maynard and Ella Marie (Mero) Williams also of Ashtabula Harbor.
A graduate of Harbor High School, Beverly worked for the Ashtabula County Medical Center for 51 years until her retirement in 2008. She was actively involved with her church (Mother of Sorrows in the Ashtabula Harbor) and neighborhood during her younger years. She enjoyed entertaining guests, baking, and collecting teddy bears.
Beverly is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Douglas Eichorn (April 9, 1936 - January 3, 1993) of Ashtabula, whom she married January 31, 1960.
Beverly is survived by her brother, Richard (Linda) Williams of Long Beach, CA; her three sons Rick (Marjorie) Eichorn of Columbus, OH; Stephen (Rafael) Eichorn of New York, NY; and David Eichorn (Tamara Burnett) of Westerville, OH; four grandchildren, Matthew Eichorn, Brittany Eichorn, Sarah Eichorn, and Ian Eichorn, as well as several cousins and other distant relatives.
A funeral Mass will be held at Mother of Sorrows Church, 1464 West 6th Street, Ashtabula, OH on Saturday July 22, 2017 at 12:00 noon. Light refreshments will be served at an informal reception at the Mother of Sorrows hall (former school) immediately following the Mass.
In lieu of flowers, it was Beverly's wish that donations be made to the Our Lady of Peace Catholic Parish Food Pantry at: 3312 Lake Ave. Ashtabula, OH 44004 or The Cleveland Area Alzheimer's Association, 23215 Commerce Park Drive suite 300, Beachwood, OH 44122; alz.org/cleveland.
Beverly will be laid to rest at the St. Joseph Catholic cemetery with her husband Douglas and over five generations of Flynn family heritage.
