Geneva- Bruce A. Beckwith, age 64, of Geneva, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at home. Born on August 14, 1952 in Ashtabula, Ohio, to the late Loyd and Wilma (Tisch)Beckwith. Bruce was a graduate of Pymatuning Valley High School class of 1970, and he attended 2 years at Ohio State. Bruce received his Real Estate license from Kent State, Ashtabula. Bruce served on Geneva City Council, Lions Club as district Governor 13-C, and was Ashtabula area Coordinator for Rural Action; and retired from 310. Bruce was also a Volunteer Fireman for the Geneva and Dorset Fire Department. Bruce was a fan of the Cleveland Indians and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Survivors include his wife Patty Jo (Pasquarelli-Toth) Beckwith, step children, Rick (Karen) Toth of Brooksville, Fla, Tony Toth of Perrysburg OH, Kerry (Jeff) Hite of Perrysburg, OH; grandchildren, Richard "Ricky", Tyler and Joey Toth of Brooksville, Fla, Ava and Taylor Hite of Perrysburg, OH. Brother Todd (Rose Mary) Beckwith, Nephew Austin Beckwith, Louisville, KY. And many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; step mother Doris Toppin- Beckwith, siblings Carolyn Ewing (Jake), Marty Beckwith and Danny Beckwith, and nephew John Ewing.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at the Geneva VFW, Post 6846, 76 Depot Street, Geneva, Ohio, on Friday, July 14, 2017 from 6-10pm with Fr. Sean Donnelly officiating at 6:00 pm with dinner following at 6:30.
