Dennis P. Butts, 66, of Conneaut, passed away Wednesday morning, June 21, 2017.
He was born January 9, 1951 in Conneaut, OH, and was the son of Wilbur M. and Marjorie (Hall) Butts.
After graduating high school, Dennis enlisted in the United States Marine Corp, serving during Vietnam. He then worked at Spartech as a supervisor retiring in 2002.
He was a member of the Conneaut American Legion Cowle Post 151, and the Conneaut Moose lodge.
He was an avid fisherman and loved being on the lake. He enjoyed hunting, working on cars, and riding his Harley, but most of all, he loved being with his family and grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife Sandra (Holcomb) Butts whom he married in 1984; his sons Denny (Carolyn) Butts of Colorado Springs, and Bryan (Jeanne) Butts of Conneaut; his daughters Christina (Noe) Diaz of Santa Fe, and Lori (Andrew) Into of Geneva; grandchildren Tyler, Halee (Alex), Piper, Brynn, Alexandra, Tate, and Kendall; his great-granddaughter Aeriella; and his brothers Wilbur Butts of Lockhaven, PA, Randolph Butts and Ronnie (Pam) Butts, all of Conneaut.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 PM, Monday, June 26, 2017 at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St. Full military honors conducted by the American Legion Cowle Post 151 will take place at the end of visitation.
Memorial Contributions may be made in honor of Denny to the Conneaut Fish and Game Club for the Kids Fishing Derby, or to the Wounded Warriors Project. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
