Herbert A. Kolman, age 89, of Rushville, Ohio, died April 21, 2017, at the Pickering House.
He was born to the late, Gustave and Agusta Domien Kolman in Cleveland, on March 4, 1928.
Herbert served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was an amazing carpenter who owned and operated Kolman Construction, remodeling and building houses.
He was a 50 year member of the Carpenters and Jointers Union. He was a member of the American Legion in OR and a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church.
Herbert is survived by his children, Susan (Steve) Munson, Jean Kolman, and Andrew H. (Ellen) Kolman; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Donaleen Kolman; parents; and brothers, Walter, and Albert Kolman.
A Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church, officiated by the Rev. Dr. John C. Davidson. Burial will follow the service at West Rushville Cemetery.
Family and friends may call at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday and one hour prior to the Service at the Church.
