Reverend Father, Jeffrey Stealey, age 63, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 6, 2017.  
Father Stealey was born Jan. 1, 1954, in East Liverpool, Ohio. He graduated from Canton McKinley High School in 1972. He attended Kent State University as a business major.
In 2004, Father Stealey entered seminary at Sacred Heart School of Theology in Hales Corners, Wis. He earned his undergraduate Bachelor of Religious Studies from Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee and a Master's in Divinity from Sacred Heart School of Theology in 2011.
He was Ordained June 25, 2011, in the Cathedral of St. Columba by the Most Reverend George V. Murry, S.J.
Following ordination, Father Stealey served as parochial vicar at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in Warren. In 2014, he was appointed parochial vicar at St. Paul Parish in North Canton. His first pastorate appointment in 2015 was Our Lady of Victory Parish in Andover and St. Patrick Parish in Kinsman, where he remained until his death.  
He was preceded in death by his father, James Stealey, and brother, Jamie Stealey.
Father Stealey is survived by his mother, Corina Stealey; daughters, Brittany (Walter) Sanders and Staci Patterson; two grandchildren, Britain, and Malaea Sanders; two sisters, Diane (Glenn) Sells of Canton and Lorrie Miller (Jerri Loper) of Arizona; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.  
Calling Hours will be Monday, April 17, 2017, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Our Lady of Victory Church, 481 Main St., Andover, Ohio 44003.  
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at 12:30 p.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2427 Tuscarawas St., Canton, Ohio 44708, with Calling Hours prior to the Mass from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery in Massillon, Ohio.
