Jeffrey A. Vasti, age 56, of Lake Road, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 23, 2017, at St. Joseph Hospital, Andover, after a courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis.?He was born on Jan. 14, 1961, in Conneaut, Ohio, the son of Audrey L. (Kirkwood) Vasti and the late Kaarlo E. Vasti. Jeff graduated from the Conneaut High School, Class of 1979, and received an Associate's Degree from Kent State, Ashtabula.
He worked for Cooper Furniture and later he and his brother Skip owned and operated Household Technician's Home Improvement Company.
Jeff was a member of the Conneaut Church of God, past president of the M.S. Society and the Lake Erie Boat Club. In his younger years, he belonged to the Sea Scouts Ship #33, Indian Guides and the Amboy Rifle Club.
Jeff also enjoyed water skiing, sailing, scuba diving and meeting friends for coffee.
He is survived by his mother, Audrey L. Vasti; siblings, David (Brenda) Vasti of San Marcos, Calif., and Karla (Steve) Rapisarda of Zeeland, Mich.; nieces and nephews, Kim (Jerry) Dickinson and Brian and Stephan Vasti, all of San Marcos, Calif., and Laura Ramsey of Lauderdale By The Sea, Fla., and Krista, Sarah, and Matt Rapisarda, all of Zeeland, Mich.; many cousins throughout Ohio, Kansas, California, New Mexico and Virginia; and special friends at the Conneaut Church of God.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harry and Ruth Kirkwood Sr. and Edward and Jenny Vasti; his father, Kaarlo E. Vasti in 1985; and a brother Dennis "Skip" Vasti in 2015.
Funeral Services will be held, Sunday, April 30, 2017, at 3 p.m. at the Conneaut Church of God, 5327 Center Road, (Route 7), Conneaut, with the Rev. Carson Robson officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens.
Calling Hour will be held at the Church on Sunday from 2 p.m. until time of services.
Memorials in memory of Jeff may be given to the Conneaut Church of God.
