Kelsey's Story

Text size

On June 8th, 2017, surrounded by her family, God took Kelsey Walters, 29, of Ashtabula, wrapped her into his loving arms and peace, freed her of her disease and gave her everlasting life. Kelsey left behind a legacy as a very loving, kind, non-judgmental person. To everyone she touched in any manner, the greatest respect you can give her is to keep a piece of her heart in yours.
Kelsey graduated from Edgewood Sr. High in 2006 where she was a member of the chorus, The Edgewood Swim Team, and very much enjoyed playing softball and volleyball. She was also a member of the Ashtabula YMCA Swim Team where she enjoyed an incredible amount of camaraderie and lasting friendships. Kelsey had a passion for photography and an unending love for animals. She dedicated her career to children by working with Kids Only and Ashtabula County Head Start. Kelsey was a strong, active and faithful member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Conneaut, Ohio. With that being said, she knew that in all ways God would guide her through her battle and give her peace.
Kelsey leaves behind many sad hearts including her parents, David Walters and Katrina Benson-Pavolino along with their spouses Diana Walters and Richard Pavolino, who both loved her as their own. Her brother and sister-in-law, Nathan and Tamara Walters along with their children Monroe and Summit. Her paternal grandmother, Phyllis Broadbent and her spouse George Broadbent, her maternal grandmother Mary Bobby and many, many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Kelsey is blessed with many relatives who have passed before her, they are now the ones to help her enjoy her rebirth.
As a family we would like to thank the Cleveland Clinic, ACMC ER & ICU, and Hospice of the Western Reserve for their knowledgeable, expert and loving care.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday June 15, 2017 at 11:00a.m. at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 876 Grove Street, Conneaut. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 5 to 8 pm at the CZUP FUNERAL HOME, 1329 Lake Avenue Ashtabula.
Memorial contributions in Kelsey's name can be given to the family to be divided equally between Kelsey's favorite charities.
